Unique Group of Institutions organised a Naat competition at Dr Nisar Ahmad Rana Auditorium, with students from more than 80 campuses participating in different categories, here on Tuesday.
Chairman Unique Group Professor Abdul Manan Khurram presided over the event, while Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Rana Bilal Ahmad and Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority Hina Pervaiz Butt were the chief guests.
Chairperson CM’s Directorate of Evaluation, Feedback, Inspection and Monitoring (DEFIM) Brig (R) Ala-ud-din, educationist Professor Dr Nizamuddin, Professor Dr Tahir Mustafa, religious scholar Nasir Madni and TV and stage artist Jawad Waseem also attended the event.
Students of Samanabad Campus won the junior category, Unique Boys High School Muslim Town Campus secured the middle category, while Unique Bahria Town Campus won the senior category.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Rana Bilal Ahmad said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) provides the best example for humanity. He stressed the need to nurture the younger generation in accordance with the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) so that they can develop strong character and high moral values. He said the Holy Quran and Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are the ultimate sources of guidance and success for Muslims.
Hina Pervaiz Butt said educational institutions had a responsibility not only to impart quality education but also to nurture students’ creative abilities and help develop their overall personalities.
Professor Abdul Manan said love for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is an essential part of faith.
Vice Chairman Afif Ashraf Siddiqui, Rector Unique Group Professor Amjad Ali Khan, Director Academics Professor Waseem Anwar Chaudhry, Director Administration Muhammad Abdullah and a large number of students also attended the ceremony.
Later, prizes and shields were distributed among the winning students.
