In playgroup we take an oral interview from the parents and the child. For the rest of the classes (Nursery – Five) admission to any class is based on our admission test comprising of the following subjects

Parents and students are advised to study all rules and regulations carefully. They must adhere to these rules in all respects. It is obligatory on all to abide by these rules. Violation of these rules may lead to the expulsion of a student / parents from the school.
The course of studies have been selected keeping in view the modern and Islamic educational philosophy. At every step, it is ensured that a student completes his/her course of studies twice in an academic year.
Academic discipline is the hallmark at UGI where it is ensured that students should focus exclusively on their studies. In this regard, a constant liaison is considered to be the high point of our academics which keeps students alive besides keeping parents abreast of their ward’s academic performance. In case of deficiency in studies, our educational system pays individual attention and conducts extra classes as arranged by the respective Principals on the recommendation of the class in charges and subject teachers as well
Class activities lead to wide range of skill-based games, strategies and interactive activities that support student's educational development. The goal of all activities is to enhance student's understanding, skill or effectiveness in a specific area by engaging multiple styles of learning. Classroom activities are activities done by student inside the class as part of applying or doing the practical part of the lesson after listening to the theoretical part which is presented by the teacher.
Moreover, Maria Montessori gadgets are introduced in preschool to develop fine and gross motor skills of students.
Co-curricular activities facilitate in the development of various domains of mind and multiple facets of personality such as intellectual, emotional, social, moral and aesthetic development. Creativity, enthusiasm, energetic and positive thinking are some of the traits of personality development and outcomes of co-curricular activities. UGI pays special attention towards co-curricular activities which are aimed at the grooming of the students. UGI believes that for all-round development of a child, there is a need of emotional, physical, spiritual and moral development that is supplemented by co-curricular activities. Besides developing students’ personality, co-curricular activities also strengthen classroom learning.
UGI also emphasizes on developing creativity in students through different co-curricular activities like essay writing, Qira’at and Naat competitions, Declamation contests, debates, speeches, Dramas ,skits, songs, UV light performance, tableau, puppet shows, Rhyme Competition(preschool), Story enactment and indoor /outdoor games like PT display, Aerobics and gymnastics to help in overall grooming of the children.
These activities guide students how to organize and present an activity, how to develop skills, how to cooperate and coordinate in different events. All these help in creating leadership qualities. They also provide avenues of socialization, self-identification and self-assessment when the child comes in contact with organizers, fellow participants, teachers, people outside the school during cultural activities.
The benefits of playing sports in educational institutions are multiple; it leads to balanced mental and physical growth. It teaches the children punctuality, patience, teamwork and leadership.
Sports at UGI play an important role in the healthy school life of the children. UGI has inculcated discipline and sportsmanship among the students and taught them how to follow the rules and regulations of the games of their interest. Our students, irrespective of the age group take part in various games under the supervision of the game teachers.
UGI provides every possible facility to the students with spacious courts and play grounds where they play cricket, hockey, football, badminton, table tennis, aerobics and athletics under the supervision of PTIs. In Junior schools, Two days a week have been fixed exclusively for games. The parents are requested to send their children in proper sports kit. UGI holds the Annual Sports Day where the students participate excitedly. Regular Sports Camps are also held in the afternoon to groom young players in the sport of their own interest. UGI has established “Unique Hockey Club” to give young players an opportunity to prove their skills.
Under the legislation passed by the Government of Punjab, 10 % free education has been given to educational institutions since 2015 onwards. UGI offers free education to the children who come on merit besides hardship basis.
