Iqbal Death Anniversary 2026 – A Tribute to the Visionary Poet

The Unique Group of Institutions commemorated the Iqbal Death Anniversary on April 21, 2026, at the Dr. Nisar Ahmad Rana Auditorium, to honor the enduring vision of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

The program began with the seating of the audience, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest, Brig. (R) Waheed Uz Zaman. A recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool (SAAW) was followed by the National Anthem, setting a respectful tone.

The event included a Kalam-e-Iqbal performance and a speech on Iqbal’s philosophy by young scholar Mr. Zaid Hussain. A special performance by renowned vocalist Ms. Shabnum Majeed added depth to the occasion.

Insightful addresses were delivered by Dr. Azmat Rubab, Educationist, and Dr. Sadat Saeed, Renowned Scholar. Ms. Sonia Aashir, Parliamentary Secretary Human Rights, also shared her views on Iqbal’s message and its relevance today. Prof. Abdul Mannan Khurram, Chairman UGI, encouraged students to follow Iqbal’s teachings in their academic and personal lives.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph, marking a meaningful tribute.
